Looks like Petreley is up to his usual tatics.
Here I encourage everyone who was removed from his board to engauge him in that forum. Act calm and respectful. Let him toss the insults and insigate the flame wars as he is inclined to do. Happy hunting. ~~RvFvS~~ |

OK, here goes.
My pseudonym on Nick Petreley's board was "archy". I had chosen it as my userid because it is short for "Archimedes". However, I was unable to change it after I had selected it and I was showing up as "archy". However, this has suggested some alternative interpretations, such as the literate cockroach of "Archy and Mehitabel" and "Archaeopteryx". It was nice while it lasted; Nick Petreley acted so unlike the persona of his computer-industry journalism; he snarled and dismissed "just-so Barney stories" and would stumble over elementary things like star formation not being instantaneous. I'd called him Doubting Thomas a few times and suggested that many of the earlier manuscripts of the Bible could be miraculous separate creations -- without much effect. |

RufusAtticus, I read the link you provided.
First of all they say "oh you can only have microevolution within a species", then you show them an example of speciation and they turn around and say "oh well then, you can have speciation BUT but they are still mosquitoes (or salamanders)". Those darned moveable goal posts! |
