This is not a message of religious faith.
Your website need work, and not just in the seoncd-hand articles or horrendously biased and ill-informed reports. Your Socratic FAQ is totaly ignorant, and the attitudes you posess are just as radical as the far right which you wish somehow to put down. I don't even know if you read critiques of anything but it would be in your best interest to do so. Religious faith is important to many people, with approximately 95% of Americans reporting belief in God and about 50% being active in religious organizations (Gallop & Castelli, 1999). Stress is also a great part of people’s lives, specifically college students. The notion that religiousness has beneficial health consequences has been supported by numerous empirical studies (Miller, 1999, Richards & Bergin, 1997, 2000; Plante & Sherman, 2001). This is probably why you credit your website with being the most viewed secular website, because the overwhelming percentage of people in this country, and the world, practice a religion or have spirituality of some type. Obviously faith has important and beneficial consequences to those who believe, both physically and mentally. I invite you to look at the truth, it's not so bad, and besides, you'll have something to put your life in the context of. Thank you for even reading this, if you have any questions, I can be reached at [phone number deleted for the reason that we have no way of verifying that the person posting is providing his/her own phone number rather than someone else's. -DM-]. p.s. Darwin was a Christian, but you knew that. |

I thought about closing this thread, but I'm gonna leave it open for now. I think this was originally posted in the Feedback Forum by someone who wanted to preach but who didn't want to put their comments up for debate. Keep in mind that guests do not have access to ~~Elsewhere~~, so unless the person who wrote this decideds to register, they won't see any replies.

Not that this poster is likely to see these comments and I'm sure many people could do a whole lot better in responding but I'll give it a quick shot (Hey, it's 2:30 and I'm bored)

The title is a bit misleading. "It" seems to imply the whole Infidel.org website, and yet the OP never gets to the all important "why" it doesn't work. I would have expected a much longer post to address all the arguments found throughout.
