leonard(e), for an author that probably inspired hundreds of thousands, if not millions of readers, to deeply question and ultimately abandon their "faith," and who himself was profoundly disturbed by the ease with which he could compose his most convincingly heretical passages yet struggled mightily in conveying the thoughts of his more devout characters, old Fyodor(e)certainly must have been a decidedly odd sort of "Christian," wouldn't you say?
Incidentally leonard(e), isn't your ass getting a bit sore by this point, or do you enjoy having it handed to you on a regular basis? |

I am sorry, Koy, I found your argument a little hard to follow. Do you have something longer and developed on the topic?
You do understand, of course, that a successful deconstruction would be unlikely to show a binary opposite of the predominant reading? I could just deconstruct you right back and show you imposing an 'atheist' bias on the text. I agree that there is no necessary connection between the author's personal views and those of the characters or of the text. |

Par Sockpuppet:
Quote:
vrai. |

I'm doing a bit of research on the bloodstains on
the Shroud (ie comparing different sources). When I have it all doped out, I'll post it here. Cheers! |
