LOL

We introduced our children to MP & the Holy Grail this past weekend. One of them had read an Illustrated Classics book about Arthur et. al. and I'd been telling him some of the funny parts of the movie that related to what he'd been reading. He shared with his sibs, and next thing ya know, they're asking to see it. They saw the Black Knight, Trojan Rabbit, and the "how do you know she's a witch" scenes. Of course, they didn't understand it all, but they knew enough that they were still laughing about it the next day. They remembered "she turned me into a newt" - how cool is that?

The Christians are right when they say you need to monitor what your children watch -- a steady diet of Monty Python, Looney Tunes, Tom & Jerry, and Boomerang network will be fun *and* educational!

On a related comment, another one of John Clesses (spelling?) shows that I thought was very funny was Faulty Towers.

wait... they've already done that...

So it MUST be true then...

The Holy Virigin Annabel....

Now I must make a pilgramage to the West Coast to bring expensive gifts and fragrances....
You absolutely must! (please do not forget expensive gifts and fragrances)

I'll be awaiting my humble and lowly servent.

Annabel Lee...Queen of the Universe and...uh...Holy Virgin? Yeah that's it.

I agree. I definitely will not be participating. Too much damage has been done by the CF staff's thoughtless behavior.

One young 20 year old Christian woman stated yesterday on a thread, "I personally have no problem avoiding those topics; so long as I can be considered Christian again..."

Her statement was directed towards the CF mods. She had been barred from the Christian Only sections because she openly spoke about living with her boyfriend.
Now she felt she wasn't a Christian any longer because CF staff deemed her "unworthy" to post in the Christian sections.

This is what happens when you "play God".

I introduced my kids (7, 9, 10, 11, 11, 13, and 14) to this movie earlier this year. They LOVED it and continue to quote it. I think we watched it two or three times before returning it. We also rented History of the World part I. Not as good overall, but a few really good zingers. My children are going to be so warped as adults.

I am honestly unsure whether or not I wish to continue participating, but I at least want to stick out part of the debate, because I feel that many of these people simply never *thought* about this before, and it's a bit tough to confront all at once.

DAMN that is a LOT of kids!!!!

We introduced our son to "The Holy Grail" when he was about 5 or 6.... He is now almost 11 and a total Monty Python fanatic! He loves it and quotes lines and imitates voices. He's quite good as the father of they effeminate "boy". "Some day lad, this will all be yours." "What? The curtains?" "NO! Not the curtains!"
