Starboy,

Doug,

You have yet to address one of my questions.
I prefer to be called "Douglas". Thanks. But I've been waiting to see if you merit a genuine response.

Your responses are vacuous and pointless. You have yet to demonstrate the rudiments of reason. You could be the poster boy for Christian idiocy!
Well, that answers my question as to whether you merit a genuine response or not. For your information, Starbucks, I happen to be involved in 16 different threads here at Infidels alone, and another couple of threads on another board - give me one good reason why I should waste my time explaining Christianity to someone such as yourself who begins his discussion with a Christian by saying, "Perhaps you are an impossibility, a rational Christian", and continues, when his questions are not yet directly addressed, by adding, "You have yet to demonstrate the rudiments of reason. You could be the poster boy for Christian idiocy!"
Sorry, but you don't seem a reasonable person, yourself, oh bright and shining one.

In Christ,

Douglas

You happen to be absolutely mistaken about this, Kosh. I have had some cases where I have been witnessing to someone ("on the street", or in the mall, or wherever [I'm not, and never have been, a "street preacher", though once I stood outside for 3 hours and handed out tracts]), and perceived a demonic influence come over them, manifested especially in their facial features (an especially evil and malevolent look, for example), but I've never claimed to have seen anyone's face "turn into a demon". Get your facts straight, Kosh - you're embarassing yourself.

I rest my case.

Dougie, look! A demon! oooh, made ya look.

Bwahahahahahahahahahah!

Judging by your past performance here, *nobody* is actually worthy of a genuine response. I have yet to see you give one.

My comments were not directed at you specifically, but you will do. Perhaps you are an impossibility, a rational Christian. Could you answer these questions for me?

If you are confronted with a sequence of events for which there are several explanations some of which are natural or rational and the balance of the explanations require supernatural causes, why would a rational person choose a supernatural explanation? Even in the case where there are no natural or rational explanations, why not just withhold judgment until the matter can be explained naturally, or just leave it as unresolved? Why is it rational to accept any kind of a supernatural explanation, unless you are stuck mentally in the 1st century?

If you do accept supernatural explanations then where do you draw the line? Do angels create the characters that appear on your computer monitor? Are TV pet psychics real? Do vampires really exist? Just how reality challenged are you?

Douglas Bender:

Indignation is not much of an argument and impresses no one. Answer the questions if you care to or remain the superstitious troll you appear to be.
