I don't. I think I answered this with my post which went up while this one was going up.

Now, if you controlled a lot of money and power and wanted to use that in a discriminatory way, then I would want to limit that.

I get the feeling that you believe that non-whites will 'lose out' if white people were not forced to tolerate them? I don't mean to be offensive, but it almost sounds like a kind of "white man's burden" deal where you don't believe they can make it on their own.

Well, thumper, this answer has three parts.

Part one is to note that wealth in the United States of America is still very disproportionately in the hands of white people. That's not a necessary fact of the universe or something we can arrive at by sheer application of logic: It's an observed fact about U.S. society in 2005.

Part two is that societies in which people never associate at all with people of different colors than themselves, where they do not even live in the same neighborhood or work at the same workplace, are unhealthy, and tend to breed intercommunal violence.

The third is that racial division, as I say, keeps the working class down.

I've answered many of your questions. Now perhaps you could answer one of mine:

Why do you care so much about job and housing discrimination laws? Are you an employer? A landowner? An apartment manager? Are your friends these things? Or are you fighting someone else's fight, someone who has wealth and power and a quite adequate ability to fight their own fight? And if the latter, do you not feel that you are a little bit of a sucker?

Perhaps a better question to ask is, instead of how whites can better 'rescue' the non-white world (which I think is extremely patronizing), perhaps we should try teaching them self-sufficiency?

Well... I think that you can no longer speak of the developed world as the white world. I mean, for instance, China is doing quite well without much in the way of foreign aid, yes? So that's for one... Also Japan, South Korea...

But then... I do not think that the developed world, or the north, which I think is a fairly good description of it, needs to rescue the south... I think instead it needs to quit messing up the south.

But this is a derail of course.

I just prefer living in my own society

But, like I say, no one's stopping you. And if you wanted to set up your own town out in Utah where only white people were allowed, you couldn't anyway, even if it were legal, because you haven't got the scratch. Right?

And when white workers and black workers fight then white bosses and black bosses laugh.

This is just a philosophical question, so that stuff is immaterial. :Cheeky:

Wrong. It is very material. The Civil Rights Movement was just about what you are called White self determination and the rest of the world called racist segregation.

Philosophic ideas are abstracts of real historical relationships and events.
