Default Tom Leykis - Ask The Atheist RIGHT NOW

Tom Leykis is doing "Ask The Atheist" this hour (6:00 pm Pacific Time).

He just said "freedom of religion alsom means freedom from religion."

Edit to add:

"Religion is for losers."

"Saying you're agnostic is being a pussy. Pick one."

I always seem to miss it. Is there any kind of schedule or does he do this bit randomly?

It's pretty random. He does it every four to six weeks, typically, or when something about religion is in the news.

Wow, Leykis is still on the air? What market(s) is he in? He had a local show here in Boston about a decade ago and was run out of town on a rail.

He's syndicated out of Los Angeles. He domininates afternoon drive in LA and Seattle. He's on in several other cities, like Portland, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Dallas, and now Baltimore. A decade ago he did a more political oriented show. Now his show is more "shock jock", entertainment oriented. He's one of the more popular hosts on the relatively new "FM Talk" or "Hot Talk" format.

I always get frustrated when someone says this. It's a total misunderstanding of what agnosticism means--it (agnosticism) is a valid ontological position.

I tend to agree, xianseeker, though I thought his comparison between agnosticism and bisexuality was humorous.

Hi Clark,

Do you know what station he is on in San Francisco? I can't seem to find any useful info from his site. I used to listen to him all the time in Albany, NY. I miss (among other things) him asking "Do you care?" whenever anybody asked him how he is doing.
