I'd ask this at school, but we're all a bit swamped with other stuff at the moment...
Mid way through last year, I had some major PC troubles. To overcome that, I decided on just putting in an additional, larger capacity, harddrive as the primary drive. Easy. But, I would now like to somehow resurrect old email correspondence from the Outlook 2000 that is loaded onto one of the old drives - which is still connected to, and used as storage - on my pc. Is there any way I can access old received and sent files through Outlook 2000? Thanks! Petra ![]() |

There is the import and export functions on the file menu of Outlook. Import the old personal folder file from the old drive. I think that will do it for you.
Hope that helps. |

Ziprhead is correct. You need to locate the personal folders file associated with the old outlook data (usually called outlook.pst) and open it from within outlook.

Outlook or Outlook Express?
Yes, a .pst file is probably there for you to import, just do a search for it on that drive (*.pst) If you were using Outlook and an Exchange server, that is a bit different. I am assuming you used "POP" because otherwise if using Outlook and Exchange, or Outlook with IMAP, the emails would be left on the server (you can do that with POP too, but it isn't done as often.). -Scott |
