I love watching 24. It's a great, thrilling show that actually surprises me. A real bright spot in a sea of crap.
But Kim Bauer really grinds my last nerve. Every time the camera cuts to her, I just groan in disgust. The plot lines following her are inevitably tedious, predictable and boring, except where they're just stupid (a mountain lion? wtf?). I just want her story to be done with, somehow, so the show can concentrate on Jack, the Pres, Sherry, the CTU staff, and the other great characters. Edited to add: Finding the girl's mom dead in the trunk of the car was the only interesting or mildly surprising thing that's happened in her story arc. That's really not enough for, what, 12 hours so far this season? |

I think Jack Bauer would lose some characterization without a loved one to 'fight for,' and so I don't want her dead. I just want her in the background, outside of the story. And occasionally wearing tight muscle shirts with no bra. So I chose "She's much too hot to die, and has not yet begun to get nekkid."

I record 24 on TiVo. I don't start watching it until 9:30 or so. This gives me enough of a buffer to fast forward through commercial breaks and any scene with Kim. I hate her storyline and I wish they'd just writer her out of the goddamned series. TV GUIDE was right: Last year the wrong Bauer was killed.

Last season I was hoping that Jack would lose his wife and daughter to Nina in the end. Unfortuantely kim survived. When the mountain lion showed up I thought, Great, now she can be kitty kibble and it will be over.
I haven't watched last nights episode yet because I fell asleep so it will be watched tonight. I was thinking the other night about the just what has happened to the characters in Kim's storyline. The girl, the dad and the boyfriend have all disappeared. Here storyline just keeps getting less and less relevent to the rest of the show. I just had a thought though. Sayed Ali thinks Jack killed his kid so maybe, somehow he will kill Kim as revenge. Oh. please let it be so. |

I'm sick of Kim. I wish she'd just go away, or die, anything... or at least stop doing stupid things. I didn't mind her for the first half of last season and she very important to the plot. But now? I don't get it.
I thought the writers were going to tie the crazy wife beating father she worked for in with the terrorists but so far that seems to have gone nowhere. You'd think she would have learned something last season. I voted to kill her off... please. Edited - had a minor spoiler in there |

What they are doing with Kim Bauer is just plain stupid. Why does anyone think that people would be interested in a character who fails to learn anything. I really thought at the outset they were going to have Kim in a parallel story where she had to do the rescues and make the hard choices. In other words, I thought that the first season would toughen her up for the second season. Instead, they are just doing the Perils of a Half-Wit Pauline. Personally, I think Jack should send her to military school and off the series.

Where's the "But they need 5 to 7 minutes of filler time" selection?
The hatred of Kim is a bit worrying. I mean, granted, why was she asking so many darn questions to Theodore Kasinsky? Why do you live alone? So you don't like being alone? Have you thought about moving to a small town? ![]() Next Year on 24, Joe Millionaire thought he married the perfect woman, but she has a secret... |

Michelle. And Lynn, of course, the President's aide (who was Ro Laren on ST:TNG). And even Kate Warner is nice looking. Her sister's nose is too small, and her face too pale, but with the brown wig she looks better.
Hmm. Maybe we really don't need kim, after all. If only we could get Michelle bra-less in a tight muscle shirt ... --W@L |
