If you can discipline yourself to not get filthy rich and spend it all on training to level up then you'll have 100's of hours of fun with Morrowind. If you like RPG's then you'll really enjoy the game. Personally, I'm not disciplined enough to not want my character to get very powerful so that's on me. I've read some things about Fable and I will definately check that one out. |

I would hold off on Morrowind as Bethesda is releasing a newer Morrowind game for XBox that will contain the 2 expansion packs that appeared on the PC version. Hopefully it will also contain some bug fixes as Morrowind on XBox is horribly buggy after about 15 to 20 hours of play.
Splinter Cell is a great game if you like Stealth/Action games. Its one of the best in its genre on any system. Halo is still one of the best FPS out for XBox and it offers excellent multiplayer if you like to game with friends. BtVS is a fun game and I recommend it if you like Action/Adventure games. Even if you weren't a fan of the show, this is still a top-notch game. I can't really recommend Bloodrayne (I think this is what you meant instead of Darkrayne), as anything more than a rental. This is the same genre as BtVS, but BtVS is a much better game. Fable has alot of potential and could be one of the best RPG's on any system. Though, personally, I plan to wait until its been out for awhile so that I can read a few reviews on it before purchasing it. Its generally a good idea to rent a game first if you can. |

I can't wait until Bloodmoon is released.
I've finished both Morrowind and Tribunal. I just hope that Bloodmoon is challenging for a Level 80 character. If it isn't, I'm gonna have to start from scratch and build up a high level character to play it. I found Tribunal challenging for a Level 70 character so I hope there's plenty to do for a very high level character. I heard that that Bloodmoon adds a new island that's almost a quarter of the size of Vvardenfell. So there should be plenty of dungeons and quests to complete, hopefully designed for a very high level character. Duck! |

SSX is one of the best games I've ever played. Great, light fun, and you can get it very cheap these days. I have a PS2, but if the XBox version is anywhere near the same, it's worth buying.

If so, that dramatically increases how much I would enjoy the game. Anyone else still remember the old SSI games Pools of Radiance (not the ass-eating new one), Curse of the Azure Bonds, and ... I can't remember the other names, but I loved those games, esp b/c you can import the characters. If the Xbox has this (and why shouldn't it with memory cards), there really is no reason for me to buy a PC game again. Quote:
I just have a hard time playing any RPG's lately. College (senior year) has gotten hellish lately, and grad school promises more of the same. Most good RPG's make me care about the characters and stories, so I want to spend every damn waking moment playing the games. But, unfortunately, I have to eat, sleep, go to school/work, and have sex with my wife (ok, so not all of the distractions are bad ![]() |
