I bet it all that the lamb will not rise to his second coming. $$$$$ let it ride!

The "sun" will rise again.

Well, no need to run off, Town Travis. You got to admit, there are a lot of sinners in these parts. Look how many converts you could obtain, if you stayed on the boards, instead of wanting to do this e-mail. Besides, I'm hoping you'll be able to clear up what I'm sure is a misunderstanding on my part, considering a couple of pericopes from Ezra and Nehemiah. Look for "Despite this it's still perfect and inerrant" coming soon to a board near you.

Wrong, and I can prove it. Let's use the KJV shall we?

In Daniel 03:05,07,10 and 15 there are lists of musical instruments in which the sackbut is mentioned. The sackbut (a primitive forerunner of the modern trombone) was not invented until the 11th century CE. It's a fact, just look it up in any comprehensive musical history text. The writers of that section of the bible, the book you think has no inconsistencies, were without doubt making it up.

I'm sure you can, like me, come up with an explanation as to why they were making it up, but the fact remains no sackbuts were in existence prior to the 2nd millennium.

Now, hands up, how many in this forum have heard that one before?

New to me... so new, in fact, I even sat here just now looking it up, and you're right on the money.

Learn something new every day, eh?

As for the guy actually showing up, I doubt it. The "God does not lie" line just screams, "TROLL!"
