11, they should have brought up some older terms, IMO

Like asking for the difference between SIMM/SODIMM/DIMM memory modules.

Oh, and I thought was interesting at the end of the survey where it asked you if you had used a computer or internet services in the past x months.

I'm curious if anyone didn't answer yes to those.

Well, you don't have to necessarily be that computer literate to do well on this test. Now, I actually am fairly computer literate, but I also keep up on technology in general (more specifically computers and electronics). I also work in an electronics field, and am in the engineering department.

I don't do any programming, don't have a homepage (although I know a little about html), and there are folks here who know way more than I do. Still, I think it was a pretty easy test.

I got an 11 but I agree with you but the WAP, SMS, and DVR questions were questionable to include.

Those could have easily been repalced with questions about SCSI, IDE, and so on. (Which of the following is not a peripheral interface standard: etc etc)

I hear people confuse RAM with hard disk space so I think that would have been a relevant question.

I also think not including the question, "What is an operating system" is ridiculous.

MMkay, well, the title for this thread might be slightly misleading as to the content of the test, but the test is called The Technology Terminology and Complexity Test, so cell phones, etc., are fair game within those parameters.

11. No guessing involved, but yeah, if they'd asked much more detail about some of that stuff, I'd be stumped, I'm sure.

10/11.. I also missed the DVR question, if they would have said, Tivo, or replay, etc. it wouldn't have been hard at all

10. Another DVR challenged. I think the test was too easy.

Probably because I am from Finland, cell phone stuff was easy for me. Here text messaging has been a national institution for years.

11. Wasn't that hard, though if the questions weren't multiple-choice, it would've been more difficult.

I knew what Bluetooth was primarily because Microsoft makes a really cool Wireless Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. I might buy it if it wasn't so damn expensive (the cheapest I've seen it is like $130 )

And DC, yeah, it bugs the hell outta me when people refer to their hard disk space as 'memory', or confuse memory with hard disk space. :banghead: My neighbor does this a lot (No, your deleted mail in Outlook Express is not taking up any memory!)

8/11, and several of the correct answers were but luckass guesses.
