A link from the board at customerssuck.com took me to the 'Do not do this while on fire' or whatever thread

Found the infidels website a few months ago looking for an article by Ingersoll.

Chalk me up as yet another one who discovered it thanks to the 'If you have set yourself on fire...' thread. Someone posted the link on the snopes.com message board. After a quick look around the rest of the site I knew it was somewhere I'd be spending a lot of time.

I first came here in 1996 out of curiosity, after finding a link to the Secular Web on [the then equivalent of] this page.

I had immersed myself in an online debate with a few pseudo-intellectual Christians when another atheist replied with a link to this site. It's great to be among at least a few rational people once in a while.

Oddly enough, I got to IIDB through a shared hatred for "Attack of the Clones".

I took part in a lengthy debate over the merits of the film on rottentomatoes.com. One of my allies was a poster by the name of Reverend Mykeru. In one of his posts, he mentioned IIDB...

...and I've been here ever since.

(strangely, I've never really seen the good Reverend here myself)

In a discussion over at ChristianForums, lunachick posted a link to a (related) discussion here.
