AJ - I read an article years ago in, of all places, a chemical industry trade journal - you reminded me of it. The article described night fishing on a boat off Jamaica, with no artificial lights. The (Rastafarian?) skipper of the boat drank a cocktail made of hashish dissolved in rum, allegedly to improve his night vision.

Hmmmm.

That first link also had a link listed (IntelligentChild?) explaining about red light....Essentially it explains why some boats use red light instead of white inside at night...It helps your eyes adjust to the dark faster!
