Well, at 1AM last night I discovered that SecularFuture once created an account on Christian Forums, and has been banned. (I saw his name because today's his birthday.) Let me tell you, if his posts on CF were anything like his posts here, I'm unsurprised and glad that he was banned. SecularFuture's posts here make him look like an anti-theistic fanatic. It seems that his intent on this board is to get his fellow atheists to oppose theism as virulently as he does.
I know that I've caught flak because I'm trying to convert the Christians to paganism; some think that's religiously intolerant, but SecularFuture makes me look like the ORTC . For one thing, my style of posting doesn't rely on intellectual epithets and belittlement of Christians' thinking skills. And he wants to get rid of religion and theism entirely. Whereas I don't make it my goal to make everyone in the world a Roman pagan; hell, I'd be satisfied if there were 100 million of us. I don't dislike you Christians. Really, I think we're just rivals, not enemies at all. |

A random question,
Does Inspired, from CF, post here under a different name, or has she not posted anything in awhile? |

Haven't seen anything from her in a while; I think being essentially cast out probably hurt her a bit. I have exchanged PM's with her once since then. Hope she's doing okay.
Some day, there will be an entry about that whole thing in my blog, but it will be a while. (Yes, this is a transparent attempt to interest people in my blog: http://www.seebs.net/log/) |

Cool seebs. Where did you get that software, or did you just make the page from scratch yourself?

It looks absolutely horrible, as though the designer had no idea how to format text, and were simply using the feature because it was there. Or maybe he thinks blog writers should be like college students and pad everything out by double-spacing. Or is it to give readers space to comment? In any event, I fixed it. My remaining complaint is that I need to use one of my insecure browsers to do page updates, because some of the magic in the backend depends on JavaScript support. EWW! |

Nelzador posted this, and I thought it was funny, but I suspect it'll get deleted:

Actually, I'd love a reality show with one camp from 'The Jesus Club'... and one camp from 'Everyone else going to Hell'. THAT would make great comedy! |

Do your homework first please. Most contributors to this 'Mother of All Threads' are outcasts from mainstream Christian thinkers from that site 'that must not be mentioned' (Harry Potter quote). Speeking for everyone, we come from very diverse backgrounds with very diverse beliefs. Something the moral majority can't understand or even dare tolerate. As far as converting anyone here in this particular thread, I doubt your efforts will be successful. The thought that we need 'converting' insenuates we are unable to think, evaluate, and decide for ourselves what is best for our own personal lives. However, you are welcome to knock on my front door. (grin) I always welcome those who first make the effort for the long hike back to my residence, simply to 'convert' me since I'm not capable of thinking, rationalizing, and exploring for myself. And brace yourself,,, lol... I love a mental battle of 'quick pro quo' over drinks.. (non-alcoholic for me,,, but whatever your pleasure.) ~Regards Smilin... p.s.... to my voyeur friend Blackhawk... my invitation still stands.. Care to debate here? You pick the topic... ANY topic, you set the rules... You consider yourself a 'deep thinker'. Personally, I'm biting at the chomps here to engage you in a debate of your choosing. |
