Don't get me wrong I am not defending AiG by any means. But it is certainly not unusual for nonprofit organizations to be selling a lot of stuff. It raises money for the organization as a whole. And for AiG it also has an important role of helping spread their thrice-damned message.

What are the numbers exactly? Is the AIG like the TBN? Are they "non-profit" rackets?

You can find AiG's IRS filings and other info at
http://www.guidestar.org/

Unfortunately I can't make a public link to AiG's entry since that violates their rules. (I had done so last year until I realized it was not allowed and so I edited them out.) However it is easy to find the info just search for "answers in genesis".

Thanks a bunch. Man look at AIG! Non-profit? They are making 200% on their sold items! That is a racket over there.

Irony, is indeed truly dead, buried and well beyond rotting in the grave.

That place cracks me up. The latest screed from 5S:

Quote:
Evolutionists can't escape the problem of (original) close relative relations unless they want to claim that human males and females evolved independently, found each other and then reproduced.
from here

Anyone who wants to chime in on that....

I would, but my responses to 5S have a strange habit of simply not showing up on the board...

Socrates:

You wouldn't be the first. David Young and Glenn Moron are other examples. But this merely shows the weakness of OEC, and more foundationally, the evidentialist approach that leads to it.
Nice ad hominem from the resident chemist. What are your amazing qualifications in biblical scholarship and such? Or are you just pontificating in matters that you have no qualifications in? AGAIN!
Quote:

Biblical presuppositionalism is the correct approach. Fact is, the likes of Moron NEVER truly accepted the authority of Scripture, even when he was a professing YEC.
Is that a "fact"? How did you establish this "fact"?

And I was under the distinct impression that name calling and the "tone" of your drivel was frowned upon?

Default More Socrates = Sarfati

After pasting some of the more ludicrous quotes of our dear Socrates for a friend to read in AIM, my frined remarked, "This guy's a nut. And who the hell uses the word 'kowtow?'"

Well, I thought he had a pretty good point there, so I seached AiG for the word to see if any of them used it. Hey, what do you know? Here's a commentary by Jonathan Sarfati in which he states:

"Thank you for this testimony and your fine efforts in your church. It's most interesting that many chuchian academics claim that we have to kowtow to evolution to have any credibility with secular academics, but time and time again we find that the opposite is true. Evolution, to them, explains life without God - Darwin referred to 'My Deity, Natural Selection'."

Isn't that just another funny coincidence?
