Hey Vander,
Was God "cold and distant" when he created you in the womb?
Is he "cold and distant" when he answers prayer through ordinary, seemingly non-supernatural means?

Sorry for bringing up an old thread, but, whatever happened to both of them? Vanderzyden never did got back to GeoTheo, who himself seems to be missing as well.

Geo posted just the other day in the Neanderthal-ADHD thread. Mind you, with all the things he listed, I'm not surprised he forgot this

Hmm, talking about memories... Ms_gumby (I think it was) made a "vanderzyden scientific seal of approval" or something like that in one of the photoshop threads... Anyone remembers that one and has a handly link? No matter how fun the PS-threads are, the thaught of going through all those posts to find ONE pic...

As a matter of fact they are, suprisingly enough. This thread was one of the more pleasant of the vanderzyden threads. I think he felt less threatened by a topic he could understand. I also enjoyed seeing him thrashed here more than the spectacle of seeing him thrashed in any of the other vandy threads. Many of us remember vanderzydens almost superhuman ability to 1: totally ignore or just 2: summarily dismiss any argument or fact that didn't appeal to him. Here he was dealing with things that were more central to his belief system, which he couldn't ignore quite so comfortably. It seems that in this case option 3: "leave quietly" was finally invoked.

Wow, you could change Vanderzyden with Magus55 in your post and nobody would notice the difference. Of course, Maggie hasn't exercised the "leave quietly" part. Evolved from the same pond I guess.
