RRP is where "winners" who post jewels like the following end up:
And Mrdarwin [sic], i wont [sic] believeevolution [sic] till [sic] i see a generation of humans with a 3rd eye or a generation of birds with 3 legs or somehting [sic] like that. |

RRP be's Rants, Raves and Preachings.
I fear that thus far, you have done little else. In RRP, you don't need to have evidence, just decibles. see ye there! doov |

xBobTheAlienx: "I see that I am winning as you all must resort to insulting."
Let this be known as the Randman Declaration of Victory: no matter how often and thoroughly you get your ass handed to you, if your opponents engage in "prideful mockery," you get to declare victory. xBob, don't flatter yourself. You've been bested. Hell, you've had the bomb dropped on you, but you don't understand that it's happened. Now go and learn something about evolutionary theory before you make a further ass of yourself. Moon dust...sheesh! |

I noticed you ignored my post about the evolution of mosquitoes in the London underground. Check that research out for an example of macroevolution in the last 100 years. ~~RvFvS~~ |

Despite my request, xBob has refused to offer a definition of what he thinks macroevlution would look like, should we come across it. It seems he wants, as I’ve said, dogs to give birth to cats. He is like someone asking why large branches don’t appear rapidly on trees, only small twigs.
Bob, to repeat: the crux of macroevolution is speciation -- the divergence of populations into non-interbreedable bits. Go look up ‘reproductive isolation mechanisms’. Once the gene pools are separate, they can diverge further. This matches what we find in nature: fully interbreeding populations; subpopulations with interbreeding; variation into races (which can, but often do not, interbreed); subspecies and semi-species; closely related species that can still interbreed (but usually don’t: mallards and pintails, Chorthippus grasshoppers, lions and tigers); closely related species that, when they do interbreed, the offspring are less ‘fit’ in some way (eg horses x donkeys, where F1 sterility means the genes don’t get to future generations); completely separate species, genera, families, orders... How it seems (and is seen) to work, on the small timescales we have, fits in just nicely with the nested hierarchies of morphlogy that were used by taxonmists long before Darwin. Perhaps xBob can tell us which ‘kind’ Malagasay mongooses belong to: is it civets and genets, or mongooses? Is the aardwolf a separate ‘kind’ from hyaenas? River dolphins, or killer whales, from dolphins? Are all birds one ‘kind’? Are they separate from reptiles -- and if so, why do they possess (usually non-functional) genes for making reptile-like legs, and teeth? If you still don’t get it, go read some reeeeally basic biology books. IOW, if you come back with this drivel again, you are an ignoramus (‘one claiming knowledge without actually having it’) and a troll. TTFN, Oolon |

Hey there are a lot of new posts here, my cousins are over and i dont have much time to check the boards. sorry if i miss yours (probably most of them). So far i havent seen anyone come back about the talkorigins article. If you all think i belong in the RRP than maybe i will go there (just maybe). But why do you that? Merely because you cant change my opinion? Im not gonna be able to change yours so why whine cuz you cant change mine?
Starboy, about predicting the results: Like ive said before, microevolution forced breeding and hybridization. Duvenoy, how have i been raving more than any of you? Oolon, what arer you trying to say? |
