I sure hope you're being facetious because this actually made me laugh out loud.

So you pretty much admit you know nothing about this guy's ideas or conclusions, or how he reached them, other than a disembodied quotation that you found on a website somewhere. You don't even know if the quotation is accurate. How, then, can you assess the validity of what he says? And why, then, should we assess its validity when you don't have any clue yourself?

My opinions closely mirror those of the professor on this issue

So then, understanding it as well as you must therefore do, you'll be able to respond if we criticise it (since the prof himself isn't here to ask)?

So you know his opinions well enough to comment on them? Then please tell us how he reached them. A comment about probability or improbability surely requires some kind of data and some kind of calculations. What were they?

Thumbs down

Thiaoouba, I thought you were going to leave us for good and fuck off back to the 9th planet. Couldn't you keep your word for even a week? Are we really that irresistable to you? Or do you just enjoy being mocked? And most importantly ... what are you wearing today?

Damnit, people -- you guys always come up with such good, clear answers. Even when a troll of the highest order like ThiaooubaMia is posting. You KNOW he's not paying attention, but you post anyway, which makes me weep inside when I dump threads like this to the lion's den.

(Not moving it yet -- the RRP regulars are getting too fat off randman anyway -- but it's about to pass the point of no return from the hopes that it'll veer back into something other than Thiaoobua making brainless assertions without answering the questions we raise.)

Warning to Thia: if you bring up your doofus t-shirt cult in this thread, the next thing out of your mouth will be "Please stop eating me, QoS."

I know that Thiaoouba may have had previous postings that eventually got sent over to RR&P.

I know that Thiaoouba may be trolling us. His questions and the intent of this entire thread may not be genuine.

But in order to foster civilized conversation, we should accept that "may be" is just that and try to avoid turning this thread into on that can only find a home in RR&P.
