Yes! It certainly could create a rift between you, if there isn't good communication (that means both ways) which it sounds like you aren't getting from her. If you can get her to open up, then you'd have an opportunity to learn about each others' beliefs and values. Btw, in spite of what you may have heard about Catholic girls, if you see this going long term, you may have to wait for marriage before getting sex. I see from your posts though, that you're not just after sex, and that's good. There's way more to a healthy relationship than that, but it can definitely be a major stumbling point, too.

Take it easy, you're still young yet. You may find your differences are too big to overcome ... even if you can get over them, if she can't, it won't work. Yeah, no one likes to hear the ol' "there's other fish in the sea," but it's true, and why waste your time when there's someone out there who's even better for you. You shouldn't have to settle or compromise on something important.

My suggestion is that you find someone else... this difference you have with her, this her wanting to be ignorant while you always want the truth... if this is really true... then I'm not convinced that the ONLY thing you want is sex.

There are some differences that can't be overcome.... this is one of them. If everything you've said is really true (that you really are a truth seeker... not just a want to be)... find someone else, move on...
