I get seriously annoyed when a Fundy asks me if I am a "Christian". I can answer yes truthfully, and they give me that suspicious look meaning "I don't think you are a REAL Christian" And then the "inquisition" begins.

Please--------all you atheists and agnostics out there--Do NOT encourage the little basstards. Call a Fundy a Fundy and leave us mainstream Christians out of it.------------You will help your cause way more than you can imagine.

PLEASE.
Uh....you're aware that I'm a Fundie, and I don't recall saying "That bastard R'BAC....I should subject him to an Inquisition because it is obvious he's not a REAL Christian." Not ALL of us do this. While I may have differences with you and what you believe, I don't doubt that you're a Christian, SO LONG as you can say that you asked Jesus to be your savior, because Jesus flat out comes out and says "No one comes to the Father except through Me." Other than that, your salvation and your beliefs are something that are between you and God.

Nothing really personal about that Muffin----

Occasionally I will throw things like "little basstards" in a post, just to see if anyone is paying attention.

Oh no offense taken. I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't included in the 'little bastards' grouping, because while I AM a Fundie, there's a difference between believing the 'fundamental' stuff in the Bible....and BEING a Fundie with a Fundie mindset, and doing Fundie stuff at Fundie churches, etc., blah blah yada yada.

Interestingly enough Muffin---------I did do that during a very difficult part of my life--Ask Jesus to be my Saviour. So I am covered either way for what that is worth.

However ---I don't think even that part is necessary. I know that your interpretation of what you stated ----------"No one comes to the Father except by Me"--------- is a very fundamental part of your Christianity---but it is not of mine.----------(Your interpretation that is)---------- You can read so many things into what Jesus said.

You are just reading into it what you want to.

Hmm...well, if you did do that, then really I don't have much of a quarrel with you. Heh heh.

This being said, can I ask why you don't believe that part is necessary? Not trying to start a debate...there's enough of those going on already. I'm just curious.

Sorry Muffin-----if you notice, you will see that I edited a little extra in there.

Not that "No one comes to the Father except by Me" is not fundamental-----it is very fundamental.

Just your interpretation of it.----------in what I consider a very narrow way.

But, to each his own. You can interpret what Jesus said and what it means any way you want to. As long as you are true to yourself.

Hey-----------

Christians, if nothing else, are always entertaining.

What would the atheists do without us?

Well---------there are always the Muslims. Same God too. Or so they say. Probably true.

Very true.

Now I must go put on my tapdancing shoes. Time for my next act.
