Personally, I don't think I ever want to see an asshole backed up ...

Stephen Jay Gould, like Carl Sagan and Isaac Asimov, had been a Jewish agnostic/atheist.
I wonder what the fundies would think about that -- especially as these three gentlemen had never been "Jews for Jesus". [ May 22, 2002: Message edited by: lpetrich ]</p> |

I don't think I did anything to deserve this, but if that is how you feel, so be it. It's your board, not mine. |

Yea, this is really, really sad. A great loss to science and reading public.

The new(?) episode of the Simpsons that aired last night had a quick blurb at the end dedicating it to Gould. Didn't have anything to do with evolution, but I thought it was cool.

Be nice guys. Mr. Curtis was only making a point that not every fundamentalist or creationist has to use a man's death to further their political and theological goals. Apparently Helen (from BB) is not as mature as Mr. Curtis here. BTW, Mr. Curtis, since you have so far acted polite and civil, this is as much your board as anyone else's here. ~~RvFvS~~ |

Ditto what Rufus and cricket said. Mr Curtis, come on in, it’s every civil person’s board. Maybe you can raise the average level of Christian input!
Since you seem to side with creationists (however civilly), perhaps you could tell us why you think so much of modern science is wrong? Oolon PS Is that Worcester, England? |
