That would be an excellent topic for Penn & Teller's next edition of "Bullshit" on Showtime: WMD in Iraq and Bush admin. Hey, they could do a whole season on the Bush administrations bullshit.

Then the diplomatic efforts fell apart, it was found we were using forged documents as evidence, the UAV death plane turned out to be some piece of crap balsa wood wing RC plane with a five mile limit, people in high positions of power started saying our evidence was bogus, etc... That woke me up.
dude, congrats.

It takes a very big man to publicly admit that he was wrong. But let's face it, you were duped.

There was a lot of BS being thrown around for months about Iraq, I just didn't look at the claims carefully, and the mass media wasn't much help in being critical of the Bush admin. Once it dawned on me that these lying ideologically driven idiots have no idea what they are doing (basically, "faith-based" foreign policy) it pissed me off. I hope more people become pissed now that it looks like the media is actually doing it's goddamn job.

Though it seems obvious to me that the Bushies were "shading" their information a tad, we have people like William Safire who see things differently. Read his column here.

Yes, obviously it is far more important to the American public to lie about a BJ in the White House than to lie about the reasons for going to a war , killing thousands of people. WAKE-UP.

Default Safire is a Tool

Safire is a Tool, Safire is a Tool, Safire is a Tool ...his column is loaded as usual with loop holes and filler. Nothing like hip hip hooray from a jack boot zionist.
i don't see anywhere that someone on our flamming liberal side questioned the amount of troops sent ... who cares it's a non issue ... might makes right even if you're wrong ... this is just another of Safire the Tool's orange herrings.

I've never bought into anything either one of the Bushes ever said.
I was against severing diplomatic ties with Libya back in the 70s because I read how the CIA went in and kept interfering with Khadafi, who also was a US friend when he first took power.
I've never trusted any of the bigshots in our government, and I'm damn sad that I voted for some of them in my early voting years.

And to me the problem is, I honestly don't think there is any difference between the Democrats or Republicans. I think they're both basically running a different version of the same corrupt show.

what's new? as someone around here said, there are few reporters left - there are only repeaters. The "free" press has been wholly complicit with the administration in this invasion- their calling it a "war" is ridiculous.
Safire says,
Quote:
It was the nearly unanimous opinion of the intelligence community, backed by the U.S. and British military, that the 50,000 elite soldiers of Saddam's well-trained, well-equipped Special Republican Guard would put up a fierce battle for Baghdad.
which is pure bull and he knows it.
our billion $$ "intelligence" absolutely knew that there were no WMDs Kamel's testimony though the American people do not. The spin that this administration put on other "intelligence" is nothing less than criminal. Iraq_Iran war
Though I agree with Radcliffe

This whole fiasco may be just the thing to wake people up to the truth of that statement. I certainly has stirred me up - when I voted in the primary elections recently, I signed up to do whatever I can in the next election to get the vote out. The polster told me that I was not the only one to do so.
Today's "decision" at the Michael Powell led FCC is the latest assault on our freedoms. Americans, please call your Senators and Representatives tomorrow - early and tell them to stop this insanity.
