What about those who sell sexual services for movie productions which are in turn sold to people for their sexual gratification? There's no form of contact involved between the actors and the people who view the videos. I'm talking about the porn industry of course.
Is that a form of prostitution? I'm inclined to think so. |

I think Arken's mother is stretching the definition of prostitution too far, to the point where such a definition drains the term of almost all meaning. Prostitution is the exchange of sex for money. How we define sex may be fuzzy, but it should at least include physical contact. By Arken's mother's definition the sale of a vibrator or even lubricant qualifies as prostitution. That's just silly.

Which brings me to a slightly different topic, should prostitution be natioanlly legalized. There haven't really been any compelling reasons other than those based on religion and emotional overmilking that I know of for prostitution to be illegal.
What is immoral about selling sex for money? None. The only good reason for making prostitution illegal is for health concerns. But even so by forcing prostitution underground there is no public health regulation which may led to even greater health risk than if it had been legal in the first place. Sex laws have been repealed all over states, what's stopping the logical extension to prostitution laws? |

A female friend (over the Internet) was IMing me and sending email, and it got heated. We were cybering on Web cam, and sending eachother snail mail. I sent videos of me masturbating, and she would send panties and pictures. I do not consider this to be a sexual relationship, but one of voyerism and fetish. I have to disagree about the trading on ebay being prostitution. Prostitution is picking up a crack hoe, getting her a phat-ass crack rock, and having her suck off the whole crew. Been there, done that!
