I really enjoyed the movie. I didn't expect much, but I was pleasantly surprised. My kids liked it too.
Was it predictable? Yeah, if you had high school english it was immediately recognizable, but it was still a pretty damn good movie. |

Yeah, we've always been big on greek mythology in general and Ulysses and the Odyssey in particular here in Mississippi. Glad you folks enjoyed it.

I thought it was a very good movie. I'm a fan of the Coen brothers, and while I didn't feel it was in the same league with their "masterpieces", Fargo and Raising Arizona, I think it ranks just above The Big Lebowski and The Hudsucker Proxy.
It is often listed as a "Freethought Movie", which I kind of consider a misnomer. Clooney's character had a couple of good lines, and John Goodman's character was humorous, but it really never struck me as a freethought movie. THOUGHTfully Yours, Clark |

I loved the movie and I play the music way to much. I just wish that they didn't have to make Clooney's character pull the "No atheists in foxholes" crap at the end. I know it was a retelling of the Odyssey... but did he really have to start praying to God as soon as they put the noose around his neck?
