Just something to think about.
If someone actually did start to fund commercials or a PR campaign, you can bet that Bill O'Rielly types would double or triple the publicity when they inevitably discuss the ads on their shows. |

I don't especially appreciate Buddrow_Wilson's username, but I think his idea has some validity. Unfortunately, I'm not sure I agree 100%. If you'll listen to some of those religious fanatics speak, they talk about how all Christians are moral people with a firm sense of justice, and that any person who thinks otherwise is possessed by Satan (in other words, not really a Christian). Perhaps we could propogate a similar idea with atheism. LOL, maybe we could say that any immoral person who claims that they are an atheist is really a believer who is trying to undermine the atheist movement.

What about talk radio? Coast to Coast AM had a hge audience, and it started as a grassroots type thing with Art Bell. I don't know how to go about it, but if Art Bell was syndicated nationwide with millions of listeners with his subject matter, certainly a skeptics show (ala Bullshit) could do well.
