They always do, Gurdur.

You know, I've even tried frightening the kids in the neighbourhood so that they'll leave me be - but still they come - to help Zoe bake now, it seems. Oh well, at least the lounge and bedrooms are tidier. :banghead:

Default baking

Would not it be worse if there was not a happy little girl running around the house. Count your blessings{maybe that is the wrong word}

Well heck, while you're at it, you teach her to make up some eggs and bacon, pancakes, or waffles and you'll have yourself nice breakfasts! So what's the worst that could come of this? She'll become a chef when she grows up? Doesn't sound that bad.

It's the mess, it's the mess!! LOL! If I had a camera - and a scanner - I'd take a picture of the aftermath and show you what milk, egg and flour hell looks like.

Not to mention the creamed butter and sugar that was whipped so brutally it made it's way to the ceiling!

Bless her heart, dear child.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! That's enthusiasm for you!

I wish I had a kid to make me cake every morning; I think that outweighs the washing up

At least get her to leave things to soak, then the mix won't get hardened on

I'm all for folks of all ages learning the arts of cooking and baking. Much better than buying that prefabricated crap they sell in the stores.

Anyway, may I present a tasty little recipe for your daughter to try (and for you to clean up)? I particularly love the very tasty trilobite cookies as described here

I just thought I'd troll around mentioning that I love your nick. What got you interested in extinct marine life?

An interest in all life in general as well as a fascination with modern sea life. Looking at Cambrian life is almost like looking at an alien planet. It was a wonderous time in history.

Sounds like it's not too early to start teaching her the clean-as-you-go method of baking - it makes things much easier if you don't have to clean it all up at once.

I like it because I borrow my Mom's kitchen when I do the holiday baking. She has a much better kitchen than mine. Needless to say, my being allowed to use it hinges on how clean I'm going to leave it when I'm done.
