If he left the card, he is a damn fool. Before that he left nothing that could have his DNA, fingerprints or handwriting on it. If the card is legit, it has at least 2 maybe 3 of the above.

I agree with David Payne, seems plausible to me that there may be two of them, one to drive and one to shoot.

This is a little off topic, but no, it was because the 223 round was much lighter than a 7.62 MM round, and the M-16 was much lighter than the M-14 Grand, and a rifleman could carry more ammo. The goal was toward more firepower (Volume of lead), which was becoming the main feature of modern warfare.

The tarot card inscription doesn't seem like something one of Allah's faithful would write, even as a taunt to the infidels.

So I think signs are pointing to a messed-up loner with too much time on his hands, and not a militia or terror plot. I think once they catch him, people everywhere can rest easy.

...until the next one decides to come unscrewed.</strong>
Yes, the card, if it was his, points to a more general nut case, but the inscription points to God belief as a motivational factor. I hope they get this asshole soon, and get him with a slug or two in his head. I hate to waste the taxpayer's money on these types of creeps.

A good 7.62mm (30-06) would be accurate to a half mile or more.
AH! That's what I was thinking of. I keep thinking the .223 is the NATO round. Duh.

So yeah, probably just a hunter, not ex-military.

I don't understand how you haven't caught her by now. How many Mary Land's can there be for christ's sake?

I think it is highly unlikely a Muslim (or a Jew for that matter) would say something so blasphemous as "I am God" . My money's on it being a white (Xtian) male...

I think the "I am God" comment is just a clever troll. He thinks he is striking fear in the hearts of his enemies. He wants to push their buttons, and what better way than this?

Question

Anyone catch Howard Stern this morning (10/10)? I still haven't heard which card it was, but Howard was reading something about the Tarot, and goofing on it like he usually does, and further saying that this sniper doesn't even know what the real meaning of the card is! They were having fun because apparently there's an American Tarot Assn. (or something), and they're upset that this person has used the Tarot in a negative way. Anyway, it was pretty funny.

Yes, that seems like a good strategy. Taunt a sniper who's been paying attention to the media and is operating just hours away from you....

Well, if he gets all fired up, and makes a mistake and gets caught, that's great.

If he happens to do it while killing Howard Stern... Oh well.
