The special rights corporations receive is protection of the assets of the owners (stockholders) when the corporation is sued for violating the rights of individuals. If corporations didn't have this "right" they would be a lot more careful that their products or services didn't harm people or property. It would also have the effect of making the stockholders be more aware of the company they were investing. They would only be willing to invest in companies that respected the rights of individuals. I'm aware that this isn't generally accepted or understood by libertarians, but it should be. |
