I think the point is that eating a daily diet containing garbage such as white bread may cause certain problems for some people.

Unless you have a gluten allergy, I doubt that an occasional piece of processed, refined tasteless white bread will hurt you.

Ever try sour dough bread with ham, mayo and lettuce? It's quite good.
