Here's a good parady site with a logical arguement of why heavan wouldn't be that great.

American Agnostic,
Makes sense to me, how else could one tolerate eternity except mindlessly. Susan |

Really? A coworker of mine killed his wife and I have no desire to spend time with him, why would I want to spend eternity with a mass murderer? Susan |

It either lasts for an infinite period of time, or it lasts for an infinitessimal period of time. If it's the former, it's an eternity; if it's the latter, it's a moment. Now, perhaps what you mean is that you are frozen throughout eternity in a snapshot of a moment. Boy, that sure doesn't sound like fun. Are you sure that that's not Hell you're thinking of? Let's take a hypothetical situation.
Let's say that Bob and Cindy are both perfect Christians. They do everything the Bible tells them to do (contradictions and all), and they are perfect Christians in every respect. Bob and Cindy even love each other. They just can't stand each other. So Bob's idea of eternal bliss is a heaven without Cindy in it. Cindy's idea of eternal bliss is a heaven without Bob in it. If you let both of them in, neither of them will be happy. (Unless you alter the essential core of who they are, in which case, "they" don't get to go to heaven at all, but rather some namesake of theirs that resembles them.) So who goes to heaven? ("Neither," you say. "They're not good Christians if they don't want to be with each other." To which I retort, "Oh really? And you love spending time with every Christian you've ever met?") Jeff, it really is not that important if you can figure it out or not because in the end heaven is for Catholics only anyway.

Its funny how many Christians don't realize this. The Catholic church is the fundamental authority on Christianity, all the rest are heritics. Starboy |

Who wins out? God would either have to damn one of them or not give either of them the eternal bliss they've been promised. If they've both lived good, Christian lives, what does He choose? |
