Default What a night of storming in Northeast Ohio!

Man, we had a few big storms in a single night. That first one had some of the most brilliant non-stop lightning I think I'll ever see. The one in the morning had some huge downpours and lots of wind. Had half a tree break off next door. Impressive stuff. Too bad I couldn't sleep last night.

We had big storms pass through here on the early afternoon of the 4th. We had no power for most of the day, many had no power for 3 days after the storm. A great many trees down all over the city, mostly in the southern half. One poor guy was in his car when a very large tree fell on it, crushing his legs and giving him many other injuries. I wonder if he is a Christian?

2 trees down on my street, 11,000 without power in NW Ohio this morning. But the hail was what really pissed my husband off (small dent in the hood of his truck).

Power's been out twice here in northern Indiana the last few days. Last night was pretty spectacular.

Its shaping up to be pretty big again tonight. This time cloud tops are at 60,000 feet and we already have rotations. Though, from experience, Akron won't be hit as hard if that is the case. Here's hoping for a tornado anyways, or atleast high wind gusts up to 70 mph. I'm insured. Lets go for it all. Heck, its one of the reasons I moved out here. I want severe weather!

Recently, the weather chart has been forecasting lightning storms all over europe, except for here, where it's neither sunny nor rainy, nor windy..
