Default Confidence in the United states.

Well, I'm voting for the US being at the lowest point in it's history in regards to international confidence that it can/will do the "right" thing.

The US, to a large extent, is thinking of itself.

Same as every other country.

What did you expect?

At some point the US may find it in our best interest to invade Canada. If thousands of civilian casualties result, what do you expect?

All countries think of themselves; but not all countries embark on subjugating others.

It is interesting that the US--which became a nation to throw off the mercantilist policies of Great Britain and stop being a colony--now is embarked on a mercantilist policy around the globe, an effort to make other countries colonies. Even more ironic is that Great Britain is one of them.

I saw on Newsworld International this morning that nearly half of the Pakistani population in NYC has left, about 50,000 people. Of which 20,000 were detained and/or questioned.

Way to go Ashcroft.
