Why Christianity and not Hindusim? Why Christianity and not Greek mythology?

It snowballs from there.

Cool

You mean, why don't I accept as true the story that says the omnimax god creature manufactured the universe and filled this planet with people that were fated to fall short of the god creature's standards, so that this god creature had to assume human form and sacrifice himself to himself to redeem us sinners and pay off the debt that was owed to himself?

Why don't I accept that, is this what you are seriously asking me to explain? Let me tell you something: I ain't got no explainin' to do!

As Mad Mordigan said, its bullshit. I've never bought the idea of a creator, so that pretty much rules out any kind of monotheism for me.

I can't see how anyone can possibly reconcile the god of the old testament with the god of the new testament. Also, I think the doctrine of salvation contradicts the idea of an omnibenevolent god. It seems ludicrous that god throws a temper tantrum if you don't believe in him. Why would an omnimax being care? Sounds rather insecure to me. I could go on, but you asked for short.
