I think the misconception is (and a lot of people would be put off atheism because of it), is that the following are seen as the definitions:
Theism: I know that god exists Theist Agnostic: Don't know, but believe Agnostic: I don't know whether or not a god exists Atheist Agnostic: Don't know, but don't believe Atheist: I know that no gods exist If the definition of agnostic is that you believe its impossible to know either way, then I think almost all atheists are agnostic. |
