That must be a beautiful deck Kitten! We also have several decks laying around...the only one we ever look at anymore is the Zen deck just to contemplate the artwork and musings of the Buddha

Has anyone else looked around their house and thought "If a total stranger found this house abandoned (or we died or something) would they think we were absolutely NUTS". I have a whole windowsill full of rocks...I have a box full of single earrings and broken necklaces and loose rhinestones...I have a 5lb bag of sea salt in the hall closet...I have a huge ceramic painted elephant looking into the empty pool....I have two lawnmowers and no grass. What wold these things look like if I wasn't here to explain?

Oh remembered another weird collection, I have the dried petals or whole dried bloom of every flower my husband has ever given me, including the 10 DOZEN roses for my tenth anniversary

I collect turtles--I have one live one and maybe 70 figurines. I also collect Data (Brent Spiner) items. And sunflowers. And sci-fi magazines. And things with spider webs pictures on them. And pretty little bottles and boxes. Also, Star Trek reference books.

And... actually, I have lots of junk all over my house.

My husband and I together collect candles (one from every special place we go) and sci-fi TV Guides.

Our weirdest collection is black postcards. The kind you see in tourist traps that say "Some City at night" on an all black background.

We don't collect shot glasses but we seem to alway be getting a new one. And now our non-collection is 30+.

That's a coincidence- I have two lawns and no lawnmower.

I'm always open to charity.

My prize deck is the Tarot Universal by Salvador Dal.
I haven't seen that one. I collect those too, come to think of it. So far my favorite is the Arthurian Tarot because the cards are so beautiful.

I have a Vax Station II, a few dumb terminals, my Vic 20 and 64, and of course, my Amiga 500 as well as a whole range of various x86 PCs. I also have old monitors and old telephone equipment.
How many under 2 gig hard drives do you have laying around? I have about 7.

I too have the unfortunate habit of collecting old computer equipment. I don't go looking for it either. It either gets aquired or upgraded or replaced.

I have 3 unused monitors sitting around, none of them work exactly right. I can't seem to throw them out. I mean, come on! Monitors! I paid a lot of money for them! Do they work? No. Are they worth anything? No! Throw them out! But they're monitors! I paid a lot of money for them! (Repeat thought over again).

Huh, what odd things.
I compulsivly buy DVD's, but that is about it. I can stop the compulsion though, if I don't have money.
I did collect comic books, but I did that for the potential gain 30 years later (retirement).

Nothing else really, and my wife doesn't do any of that stuff anymore (no more OCD for her ).

Our house is a mess though if that helps.

2 gig hard drives? Luxury! I think I have about 10-15 miscellaneous drives in little stacks here and there.. some 300 MB, some 500 MB, a few Gig drives, a noisy 4 GB. Some are old SCSI drives, some are IDE, I got a few MFM ones too to go in my Vax Station.

I've got about 7 burnt out 14" displays. I think I'll take them to the recycling center someday because they sure as hell ain't worth anything and it would cost more to fix them than to buy a new one.

It's just something about spare hardware that gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside and I can't resist holding on to it, even if it is a decade old.

I don't so much as collect gun mazagines, I accumulate them. I've never thrown one away. Somewhere I've got Guns and Ammo magazines that have articles by Elmer Keith. I don't buy G&A anymore, but I always get the latest issue of Rifle and Handloader.
