Hmmm...unfortunately this mostly takes the NIV translators to task for bad translation of the OT. Since I don't study the OT and could care less about the OT I have nothing to say about those arguments. That being said there are only really two arguments directed specifically at the NIV New Testament. This first is frankly rather silly, but the comments by Dr. Metzger are right on target and just what I was looking for.

Looking at GMt 13:31-32 it is inconceivable (apart from theological bias) why the NIV translators would translate the passage as they did. [deleted pending further examination].

How's it goin'? You changed your moniker. I didn't know who you were until I clicked on the link to your homepage.

I have a few days off before my summer session starts at school, so I stopped in to see if I recognized this place. Haven't the Christians converted all of you pagans yet? I would've thought you'd be a traveling Pentecostal faith healer by now. J/K... It looks pretty much the same around here as when I last visited.

I tried the Pentacostal thing, but I can't play the saxophone, you know.

I changed my moniker -- too many people named Michael around here, and I do a lot of posting from the university, so I thought it might be an extra, if weak, layer of security.

Sure, CX, but you asked for arguments showing the NIV was translated to support inerrantists. So I supplied them.
