So do you define accurate reporting as anything that agrees with your viewpoint?

I consider accurate reporting anything that covers the issues professionally and without rhetoric, and provides a voice to various opposing viewpoints.

I'm getting the feeling that the media is severly whitewashing the war. I don't think it is going as well as presented. I've heard that our forces over cities, and then it turns out they are still resisting, or we only secured part of the city, or there are pockets of resistance, etc. I would have expected the Iraqi's to roll over in the south, and now it looks like they are preparing for a guerilla war.

Al Jazeera is supposedly showing casualties from the bombings, but no other news station is reporting it, yet I keep seeing footage of the villages Saddam gassed.

I would like to see the opposition given a voice, yes. If you're nitpicking over semantics, stop; you know very well what I mean. On most channels, all I hear about them is the Bush Admin pointing fingers at and trivializing them. The Antiwar Movement has been effectively silenced in the media, dispite its widespread following, a following that has grown very quickly in spite of having no voice through the media. Face it, this war would be completely unsupported without Rush Limbough and White House rhetoric/propaganda. Heck, if not for (piss-poor) White House Propaganda, I doubt anybody would care much either way, but that's beside the point. I want the fair and balanced news FN has promised, and completely failed to deliver.

Forgive me if I don't buy anyone's complaint that their particular viewpoint is suppressed by the media.

And this includes Democrats and Republicans, Liberals and Conservatives, Pro and Anti War, etc.

Everyone's a suppressed victim.

err...Dude, have you been watching the news at all? The only place I get balanced news is C-SPAN, and since when have they had a bias? The most popular news network parrots WH rhetoric, therefore all other corporate news networks do as well. I challenge you to find evidence to the contrary.

You have an unbalanced view but are qualified to judge what is balanced?

Whatever.

Try BBC. the contrast between it's reporting and CNN's is amazing.
