I know this is off the topic, but I felt I needed to mention it. After having satellite for a while because of my roommate, I am now addicted to BBC America. I love the shows there so much, they are such a relief from the reality crap our media spews at us. I particularly enjoy The Office and Trigger Happy TV (which is Comedy Central here, but still British). I also watch So Graham Norton and the other night I caught a Men Behaving Badly marathon. I even caught myself saying 'keen'! And I could never forget the greatest show ever made - Monty Python's Flying Circus. (Editted to add) I almost forgot about Red Dwarf! They show it on PBS here and I try to catch it whenever I can.

Yes, Brits do make good TV shows. Their Walking with Dinosaurs/Beasts are just awesome, a whole lot better (eye-candy wise) than PBS' Evolution series.

The Beeb has Sir David.
In this light, even Men Bahving Badly and Gimme, Gimme, Gimme can be overlooked. David Attenborough is, I think, the only person I'm not related to, who has been a hero of mine throughout my entire life. Plus I want his job when he retires, dammit - he has the best job in the whole world! |
