Default Humor at Rapture Ready FAQs

I don't think they meant this to be humorous, but this made me laugh. It's one of the FAQs at raptureready.com...

Why does Christianity claim to be superior to all other faiths?

The supremacy of Christian over all other faiths is not based arrogance. It is simply a factual statement. If your house was to catch on fire, what do you think would be superior at extinguishing the flames--water or gasoline? They are both liquids, but one is obviously better qualified at the task of quenching the fire.

There was another statement on the christianforums FAQ (I think) that got into FSTDT.

Well, that certainly appears consistent with the intelligence level of that site.

That was actually from the Christianity.com Forum Terms of Service:

"Christianity.com prohibits the exercise of prophecy, 'words of knowledge', speaking in tongues..., as well as casting out demons, within the Christianity.com community. "

How can I possibly blame them? Such things are batshit crazy. Of course, Jesus himself would get banned by the mods in the wink of an eye.

I think he did.

It's funny, because some atheists I know on that forum got banned for quoting scripture. :banghead: I was recently banned from there as well, not sure why. I'm generally quite polite.

Here is a pearl of wisdom from the Rapture Ready FAQ on Maitreya:

Quote:
Because there is no real evidence supporting the existence [of] Maitreya, I have little respect for Christian ministries that promote this nonsense.

The reason why this rumor [that Maitreya is the Antichrist] keeps circulating is because it is very hard to disprove something that can not be seen. Until Mr. Creme finally produces his friend Maitreya, I think it's foolish for people to waste their time speculating on his whereabouts.
Can you say, "irony," boys and girls?

Yeah- it turns out that no heretic has ever been burned at the stake. They just had a big pile of wood with a stake in the middle, that accidentally caught on fire. The people bound to the stake were actually true believers trying to put the fire out...
