Mine were Gladiatior and Fight Club. I wish every DVD were done as well as those two.

I can also still remember the first CD I got too. Eric Clapton Unplugged. Man did I listen to that album too much. It was the only CD I had for a while after all.

My first DVD was HBO's miniseries _From the Earth to the Moon_. I picked up the box set with my DVD player.

Man, I love that series. The music alone gives me chills.

Da na NA...na na na na...na na naaaaaaa...

Na na NAAAA...na na na NAAAAAAAA...na na...

La de daaaa...da de dum...la da de da, da, de dum....la da de dum...

etc. etc.

HOLY CRAP! UHF was my first as well!

...and I don't even own a DVD player (my best friend has one I can use, however).

Sorry to go off topic, but have you bought Poodle Hat, Weird Al's new album, yet?

To be a really cool digital movie person you have to say what the first LaserDisc you bought is. (and if the answer is none, you don't get to play)

I got The Mission with my laserdisc player in 1992. I then proceeded to buy 300 other laserdiscs over the next decade. I still have them all, and about 100 DVDs. I don't remember which DVD was first. I bought four at one time to take on a trip with me to watch on a laptop before I had a DVD player at home. 3 Kings was one of the four, so 3 Kings.

Probably The Matrix and South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut. I got my first DVD player the following Xmas, if memory serves.

The Sopranos Season 1 was my first DVD.

My first real movie was This Is Spinal Tap.

There aren't many movies I'd want to watch over and over again.
