They have a system of "blessings", which are like popularity-contest votes, sorta. You get 7 for starting a thread, and moderators will occasionally assign 500 bonus blessings. You can give them to other users, or spend them on armor. As of the last time I checked, I have the best of every kind of armor. Doesn't do anything, it's just sorta cool.

It just looks like more avatars that would tend to eat up bandwidth and slow the boards down.

It mostly is. It's sorta fun, though, and giving people blessings can be a way to express support or respect, so it tends to have some effect. You see a lot of users who have >100,000 blessings.

I agree it's some what fun, but I would rather not have the avatars I get bored with one and always have to update mine. So I would rather not have them.

Red face real blessings, where art thou?

I want some of them REAL BLESSINGS.
NO INTERNET BLESSINGS - THEM IS JUST LITTLE DOTS ON A TV TOOB.

I want them REAL BLESSINGS from being part of GOD's SPECIAL COUNTRY CLUB OF RICH, WONDERFUL PEOPLE WITH PERFECT, SHINING TEETH AND PERFECT SHINING SHOES AND PERFECT SHINNG SPOTLESS HOUSES AND SOULS.

That's why I became a Christian for a while. Those alleged "blessings" by Gawd and his follwers made me suicidal, so I left in order to save my own life and what little sanity I had left.

I got no blessings from that, just Post traumatic stress disorder and a great hatred of fundies of any kind.
