Personally I think it all depends on how its done. Body piercing and tatooing can be great or it can be ugly.

Like take enigma and cat lady (cant remember her name). I think they look awesome.
Yet, there are quite a few people with way fewer piercings and tatoos that look horrible.

I have a friend in the army who spends all of his money on booze and tatoos. And quite frankly I think he doesnt look that great, as he has too many tatoos just splated different places on his body.

Anyway, thanks for the advice, especially you Jackalope. I am going to my GYN in two weeks and I will ask her for her opinion also. After that, I'll probably make an appointment for this place in San Pedro (SoCal Tattoo) and get them pierced.

All absurdities aside, not normally... Unless Blocked Nipples get to the point of a True Infection, then doctor for sure - But such 'problems' are a Routine Result of breast-feeding. (Hence, my silly, yet eventually relevant, story of Why You Should Not Risk Making It Even A Teensy Bit Worse!!!)

Some hilarious name for the 'procedure', can'st remember right now.

So,...

I use his 'mind-set' as the common link between all piercing 'choices' people make... "Wow, what were they thinkin'!"

Though, I just did not know how to respond to his 'revelation', completely stumped.

Rarely at a loss for words - I could not then (and certainly cannot now) come up with the rationale for such a Mutilating Decision. ALL piercings seem that way to me...

I am pretty sure that the Prince Albert involves a ring, so it doesn't seem likely to have been that. Perhaps an Apadravya? It isn't the idea of the peircing itself that prevents me from doing something similar, but the simple fact that I am unwilling to pierce something I would not be willing to have the piercing torn out of.

I got my nipples pierced about 5 or 6 years ago. Here are a few notes:

A)It hurts like hell when they do it. Your best bet is to take 3 or 4 tylenol or advil an hour or so before. (That's what I've done for tattoos and it helps)

B)They take a LONG time to heal and you have to be diligent about cleaning them properly. Also no touching for the first couple months.

C)Make sure the piercing shop is clean, uses sterile implements and, if applicable where you live, is licensed.

D)Make sure your piercer is wearing new sterile latex gloves.
It does make your nipples more sensitive. I'm a guy so my nipples weren't really that sensitive to begin with, but I definitely noticed a difference. Plus I think nipple are a good piercing because nobody ever sees them unless you're being intimate. You don't have to take them out for work or whatever. They don't upset mom and dad. Etc.
