I've sent in about 60 bottles' worth of 10-digit codes to the site.

Pepsi from a fountain is one of my reasons for living...plus, PepsiCo gave us Mountain Dew Code Red, and at one point ran Taco Bell. What has Coke ever done, other than monopolize soft drink distribution on the campus of The Large Midwestern State University?

Coke has an exclusive at Seattle Public Schools too.

However, I still prefer it to all Pepsi products. Coke products have some kick to them, Barqs rootbeer has actual flavor, especially compared to 'Mug'.
Of course, all american softdrinks have 'high-fructose corn syrup' instead of 'sugar', making all of them taste odd. Try a coke from the Phillipines sometime. The REAL thing. Tastes like coke classic should.

. . .
Okay, start hurling Pepsi cans at me now!

Pepsi releasing 'patriotic' cans makes me think of a souvenier license plate I saw the other day which I'm still confused about. It had a picture of the World Trade Center towers and just said 'World Trade Center - Ground Zero - New York City' (or something along those lines) on it... I wasn't sure what it was trying to say. Had the buyer been there? Was it saying it was a tragedy? A good thing? All of this neo-jingoism is so confusing.

I'm generally a Coke person, well ok, Diet Coke now (and I do also like the Diet Lemon, and Diet Vanilla varieties as well), but as part of research group, I got to test Mt. Dew Live Wire about a month or two before it was released to the public. I not only got a free 20 oz. bottle of it, but got a few bucks as well! Had to fill out a brief survey or two to get the cash, but it's not the first time I've tested products.

Mt. Dew and Slice are the only Pepsi products that I usually go near.

Sounds interesting. I will buy a local Coke today, and I'll try to find an American coke, so I can taste the difference. But I still prefer Pepsi.

I never thought I'd hear someone claim that the watered-down sugary piss known as "Barqs" has "actual flavor", no matter how you stretch the definition of "actual flavor". Mind you, Mug isn't a whole lot better. I drink A&W or Hires, if at all possible.

I also prefer Pepsi to Coke, and 7up to Sprite or Sierra Mist (Those two may be made by opposing companies, but, as far as I care, they're the same drink). I also think that all forms of Mountain Dew are Abominations, which Should Not Be (like a less pleasant version of Cthulhu, only blended into a sludge, and bottled. And not as cool.)

But then, I don't really like soda all that much. Nasty stuff, that.

All this talk about Mug or Barqs (sp?)
A & W all the way! (IMO)
I have tried some of the other brands out there that are from little bottling companies only to get the same heartburn that I got from Mug or Barqs...

and none come close for a good root beer float!
