DC, no offense, but you seem opposed to any action at all.

Nonsense. The proposal to do the right thing is not the same as saying do nothing.

This idea that poor action is better than none is a potentially desctructive one. I think the sort of in-your-face-we-are-against-you attitude by Mr Newdow types damage non-believer to believer relations and make our hills harder to climb.

I don't think non-believer to believer relations are going to get any easier, nor are our hills going to get easier to climb. The not-in-your-face technique doesn't seem to have worked too well... how long should we wait to see if it will have any effect?

I don't think its ever been tried en masse. Thus, to say it has not "worked too well" seems a bit off base.

I get instant effects. That seems quick enough for me.

To quote from the above referenced site:
  • In a friend-of-the-court brief the group filed Nov. 22 in the U.S. District Court in Washington on behalf of itself and six U.S. senators and 16 House members, the ACLJ held that the U.S. Supreme Court has "clearly upheld the constitutionality of paid chaplains."
I'm not at all sure that this warrants the headline "Congress attacks Michael Newdow". So, for example, what about
  • 94% of Senate & 96% of House Refuse to Join Attack on Newdow!
The sky is not yet falling (again).
