Thanks for the info. Certainly a good upgrade to my laymans knowledge of the subject.
I was particularly impressed with the cooperation betw. the 2 groups of researchers after both put their initial results in print. While each group's data set gave evidence of the 4 mammalian superorders, it took all involved to make a joint round of analysis with the combined data set to give evidence of divergence times.
