The Theory of Gravity is unAmerican too. How dare our schools teach that you and I are bound to the planet by an unseen force (whose origins have not yet been explained!) when they should be teaching that what keeps you on the ground is good, old American Pride and determination.

As for non-Americans, they simply refuse to fall off the globe because they're too ingnorant or stubborn. Especially those Aussies, and moreso, Kiwis.

And here I thought that this was a victory for Georgia education. I don't mind if the parents think "it's only a theory" as long as I am allowed to teach their kids what the word "theory" actually means. I've given up on the adult generation, I choose to educate their children as best I can and hope that helps.

No, warning labels are not good, but at least they aren't deleting pages of text like some school systems have done.

I am amazed by this woman's statement in the article: "It is unconstitutional to teach only evolution," she said. "The school board must allow the teaching of both theories of origin."

What constitution is she talking about? I checked my copy of the US constitution and can't find any evidence to support her statement. And if evolution is "only a theory", is she conceding that creation science is also "only a theory"?

I agree that schools should teach both theories of origin. If schools are going to teach evolution, they should also teach students the truth: that the God Odin and his brothers slew the Ice Giant Ymer, and from his ground flesh and bones created the earth, seas and heavens.
