Default Any composers here? I may have something for you...

Joined: Aug 30, 2002

Hi all. I'm doing an animated project for a group which I can't really discuss at the moment (although it does involve something people here are interested in... I'll say more later) but I really need some music for it and my composing skills are just too rusty these days. I'm looking for 60 seconds of music that sounds like 1950s-style B-movie weirdness stuff... think theremin and minor key aliens and ghosts.

I can't make any promises, but there might be money to the tune of a couple of hundred bucks if this takes off, but right now I'm working on spec myself. If anyone's interested, please let me know.

(Of course, this has to be original music of yours which you agree to give me the rights to use in these animations)

This is sort of what I am talking about although it is way too harsh and I don't need something that actually is orchestrated... but this is the general mood I am looking for:

I have two composers that I work with pretty regularly. One is Gooding. Gooding here

The other is a guy who just does it for me now and is cheaper than Gooding.

for what you are talking about Gooding would probably do it for about $1,000.

And the other would do it for about half that.

I don't represent them, so I am guessing as to the cost. They are both awesome.

Email me if you want more info. I have links to video clips with a score by each of them. Although neither score is what you have in mind, they are both quite good at creating whatever mood you want.

Weird. I wonder why that 'joined' thing appeared above my message.

Oh well... anyway, I appreciate the offer dangin, but as I said I myself am doing these on spec at the moment so I can't promise any money yet... if I make some, I will be sure to pass it along but that is all I can say now.

If nothing pans out, feel free to PM me. I might be able to help.
