The whole point of the post that Spaz called "good job jackass", was that Paraphrased and Dynamic Equivalent Bibles are fun to read, but always have a more literal translation handy, like the ASV, NWT, (N)RSV, Young, Darby or better yet, an Interlinear Bible.

One good thing in the KJV that's missing from most modern versions is the distinction between singular and plural in the 2nd person (thou/thee against ye/you). Then again, to match the Hebrew of the OT, you actually need four pronouns for each of the 2nd and 3rd persons (masc sing, fem sing, masc pl, fem pl: ata/at/atem/aten for the 2nd person, hu/hi/hem/hen for the 3rd person).

For the NT, which I'm not as well versed in as the OT, I have a Greek-English Nestle-Aland version.
