Thumbs up Well, that gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling...

On my way home from work, another driver pulled up next to me and shouted "I love the sign!" and gave me a thumbs up!

In my back window I have a bumpersticker holder (clear plastic sleeve that attaches with suction cups) so I can change my stickers at whim. My current favorite is in - "Militant Agnostic - I don't know and you don't either!"

Ahhhh, that was nice. The only other feedback I've gotten on that one was an indignant note left on my windshield. It's so pleasant to find the odd like-minded person out there.

Actually, that particular one is going to be staying up at least until I can get a new Darwin-fish. My old one was retired with honors when the adhesive finally wore out.

I had a buddy who had his Darwin sticker stolen from his car while he was in a class. Because we lived in a very conservative area, we were pretty sure that some overzealous Christian stole it. Now isnt that ironic?

I've had one definite smile at my back window sticker (SATAN WORKS FOR ME NOW), and that was from a cycle gang.

I've only had one experience where someone said something disapproving about my sticker, and I wasn't even there for it. I was letting a friend borrow my car, and when he went to get it washed, he got a lecture about how awful the sticker was.... and the duck, too. I've got a red rubber ducky with devil horns in the back dash to go with the sticker.

You know, I was thinking last week...wouldn't it be fun to make little horns and tails, etc., to paste onto the jesus fish?! Hit the church parking lot and devilize all their little fishies.

Yeah, I can amuse myself without leaving home. I grinned for an hour.

Actually, I went through a few Darwin fishes in the beginning - about 4 or 5. Someone in my neighborhood seemed to be taking exception to them. I kept coming out in the morning to find the fish ripped off and left broken in half on the ground next to the car.

I made a policy to have a new one on the car in 24 hours or less.

Eventually, the jerk must have realized that all he/she was doing was making more money for the folks selling them. They stopped, and the last fishie lasted four or five years until all the chrome wore off and the adhesive finally wore out.

Heinlein said "Never try to out-stubborn a cat."
Only slightly less well-known is "Never try to out-stubborn a MzNeko."

Unfortunately, it's taking me a little longer to get a new one because the shops around here that I bought them from no longer carry them for one reason or another. I know a few places I can order them on-line, but then I have to deal with shipping, and also I should buy more than one just in case. And of course, money's not as free-flowing right now as it was back then.

sigh... Well, at least I've got my bumper-stickers...

It's happened to us quite a lot (the thumbs up or approval that is) since we stuck

"Atheism Cures Relgious Terrorism" and "God Protect Me From Your Followers" onto our brand new Fiat.

Some BMW even wanted to know where we got them from-that's Joburgers, ever the entrepreneur!

(Got them from Evolve Fish and hang the shipping MzNeko!)
Seems to me SAfricans are more enthusiastic atheists than Americans.
